What is it?

markitfor.me gives you a way to keep track of pages on the internet and find them later via search. markitfor.me is different than some other bookmarking sites in a few ways:

  1. You don't need to worry about tagging your marked pages.
  2. You can find your marked pages using search.
  3. When searching, the full text of marked pages is searched, not just the titles. This means that you don't need to remember anything specific (like a tag or the title) about a page to find it later - just search for what you're looking for.

How does it work?

Simply register using OpenID. After registering, you can mark a page by entering a title and the link to a page or by using a bookmarklet. By using the bookmarklet, you can add a page with a single click from anywhere. Check the help page after signing in for details on getting the bookmarklet set up.

After your pages have been marked, you can search their full text. You can search by returning to markitfor.me and using the search box available on every page, or by adding markitfor.me's search directly to your browser's search box. Check the help page after signing in for details.

Login and Security

Since OpenID is used to access this site, markitfor.me will not have access to your password or any other personal information. Many of you already have an OpenID since several web accounts are enabled for OpenID including Google, Yahoo, and AOL.
